What counts as a “mini” skip?
Mini skips are our smallest bins, ideal when you’ve got more than fits in the wheelie bin but nowhere near a full builder’s load. As a rough guide:
- 2m³: a few green-waste loads, a small bathroom strip-out, a garage tidy-up. Holds roughly 6–8 wheelbarrows.
- 3m³: a bigger garden clean-up, a single-room declutter, light renovation offcuts.
Not sure which way to size it? Most people under-estimate, then run out of room. If you’re between two sizes, go up — it’s cheaper than a second bin. Our bin size guide walks through it with real load examples.

When a mini skip is the right call

If you’re tackling a whole-house reno, a deceased estate, or heavy material like concrete and brick, you’ll want a larger or heavy-waste bin instead — just ask and we’ll point you to the right one.
What you can (and can’t) put in it
Mini skips take general household and garden waste. Heavy materials (soil, brick, concrete) have weight limits, so they go in a smaller bin for the same price band.

(Tyres and mattresses can be taken with a surcharge — just flag them when you book.)
How hire works

- We deliver to your driveway or nature strip across our delivery areas.
- Standard hire is 4 days — plenty for a weekend job. Need longer? It’s just $20/day to extend.
- We collect and dispose of it responsibly.
What it costs
There’s no flat sticker price for skips, the cost depends on the bin size, the type of waste, and how long you keep it. Heavy waste (soil/concrete) is priced by weight, not volume.
